The Economic and Social Impact of the US-Israeli Shadow Conflict on Iran

Date:

The ongoing geopolitical conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran has created a significant human and economic toll within Iran, largely driven by economic sanctions and covert operations. While military tensions often dominate headlines, the civilian population faces severe challenges due to inflation, shortages of critical medical supplies, and disrupted infrastructure from cyberattacks. This shadow war continues to strain Iran’s domestic stability and public services, impacting everyday citizens far beyond the immediate battlefields.

  • Economic sanctions have restricted Iran’s access to global markets, leading to high inflation and currency devaluation.
  • Trade and financial restrictions have led to critical shortages of essential goods, including specialized medical supplies.
  • Covert cyberattacks have repeatedly targeted Iranian civilian and industrial infrastructure, disrupting daily services such as fuel distribution.
  • The prolonged shadow conflict and economic isolation continue to severely impact the quality of life and public health of the civilian population.

  1. These so called protesters were armed and dangerous killing police hiding among real protesters. Once you take weapons given to you by a malicious foreign country(US & Israel) you lose protected civilian status and become a combatant.

  2. It`s nice to see the critic about violations of human rights in Iran but I miss the same for America and Israel. I `m done with this one sided reporting and the silence about the atrocities happening in Israel and the US. So Amnesty what about the rape and killing of political prisoners in Israel and what about the people dying in retention camps in the US? What about the war crimes of both countries???

  3. Iranians deserve their freedom from this murderous regime. Even if the attackers are monsters as well, I hope the regime falls and the Iranian people can finally be free of them.

  4. 3:19 – So now we're down from 40k to 3,000 people killed. But "unverified sources" claim the number is MUCH higher. Yes because you all got called out for making the 40k claim, which forced you to backtrack. What is the "unverified source" for the much higher numbers btw? 🤣

  5. It is clear that the government of Iran is evil. That doesn't make Trumps idiotic war any better, but if you don't see the utter depravity of Iran's government then you're either disingenuous, a bot, or someone who lacks cognitive abilities.

  6. And the Israeli army is still murdering Palestinians. Define how genocide is not worse than other government violence. This is sloppy reporting. How many Palestinians have been murdered compared to Iranian citizens? A small fraction have been killed by Iran.

  7. The current chaotic wars in the world are due to human greed; they want more: America wants Venezuela, Cuba, and the Greenland.

Russia wants Ukraine, China wants the entire South China Sea, Tibet, Manchuria, and Mongolia.

    -Israel wants Palestine and Lebanon

  8. It makes me think the war is worth it, but only if the Ayatollahs fall. If I end up paying more for gas, and thousands of Iranian civilians die, but we never have tens of thousands killed by the IRGC for a protest because the country becomes free, so be it. However I don't know if the US and Israel are quietly arming the opposition. But if the regime stays in power and we get another nuclear deal, then what's the point?
