Doesn't this strain orginate from Uganda and isn't it the case that it spilled over from Uganda to the Democratic Republic of Congo and from there to Rwanda and other countries, not the other way round? Look at first reports about frst cases ever of this new strain in DRC few years ago, back then it was a spillover from Uganda, the only country in it was an endemic strain. Those other countries had two other strains and they had both vaccines and medication effective against one, most common fo them.
