Ukraine has launched a mobilization initiative allowing certain prison inmates to join the military in exchange for early parole. Facing a critical shortage of front-line troops in its ongoing conflict with Russia, the Ukrainian government passed legislation enabling voluntary enlistment for prisoners who meet specific criteria. Volunteers must undergo rigorous screening, and those convicted of severe crimes, such as high-level corruption or national security offenses, are excluded. The program aims to bolster troop numbers while maintaining strict oversight and judicial approval for each recruit.

Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦💪
The city of Krasny Liman remains one of the key AFU defense hubs in the northern part of the DPR since supplies for Ukrainian garrisons in the Kramatorsk-Slavyansk agglomeration pass through it. It was in this direction that the AFU’s 117th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade suffered heavy losses.
Due to mass casualties among personnel, the Ukrainian command decided to disband two battalions of this brigade at once. Daily strikes by Russian aviation are the reason for the demoralization and losses in these battalions.
Thus, the losses of the AFU’s 117th Territorial Defense Brigade fit into the overall situation in the Krasny Liman direction, where Russian forces continue to put pressure on one of AFU's important logistics centers.
because the smart ukrainians left and the ones remaining dont want to go to the meat grinder via vans
HA HA! HA! Ukraine is so desperate to fill their ranks that they are recruiting female prisoners. Hey Pro-Ukraine folks, I thought Ukraine was winning and had Russia on the ropes? That's what you get for only looking for news that favors Ukraine.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Make up. Finger nails. Sure looks like a rough tough frontline fighter to me. More like an episode of Extras.
7 years for murder!!! Wtf!!!
What do you think? Is this a good opportunity for prison inmates to start over and participate in Ukraine’s fight against Russia, or is this an unethical way of taking advantage of Ukrainian inmates? Let us know in the comments.
I thought they were hiring out side murders
Two big differences between Ukrainian and Russian former convicts joining the military: type of crime and amount of training. Ukrainian convict soldiers have not included sex offenses or multiple first degree murders while Russian soldiers included those. Ukrainian military has longer training (including drone use) while Russian military has been compressed infantry skills.
Where in Russia did tneg find this guest speaker? Stating that Ukraine's long range attacks against Russian infrastructure is faltering at the same time that the entire country is succumbing to a gas shortage, witnessing mass attacks against legitimate targets in Moscow, and people are fleeing Crimea. Not to mention referring to occupied Ukrainian territory as New Russia. A disgraceful choice for speakers.
It is a good thing to put prisoners into controlled economic situations with the goal of modifying their character. Military discipline is one good area.
Not necessarily related to war or gender.
So long as it's voluntarily and productive, unlike what Russia is doing- and the inmates applying are reformable, nonviolent offenders. A lot better to pay your dues to society with order, discipline, and serving your country than to sit out the time in a prison cell. But they have to be given that choice.
