Support for FIFA President Gianni Infantino Shows Signs of Rebounding

Date:

FIFA President Gianni Infantino is seeing renewed support for his leadership among international football federations despite previous criticism from European nations. Driven by expanded tournament formats and increased financial distribution to member associations, backing for Infantino remains strong across Africa, Asia, and the Americas. While some European confederations previously voiced concerns regarding governance and proposed tournament changes, resistance to his tenure appears to be waning as federations prepare for upcoming congresses and future tournament cycles.

  • Support for FIFA President Gianni Infantino is consolidating across multiple global football confederations, including CAF, AFC, and CONCACAF.
  • Key drivers of member federation backing include the expansion of the FIFA World Cup to 48 teams and increased commercial revenue sharing.

  1. In the standard workplace (in the West) this would be grounds for dismissal. No consultation with top advisors on such a distribution of equity is purely backdoor shenanigans. Corrupt people don't always smash the rock into bits. They let the water weave between the cracks, slowly and methodically… and we let them. Why? Because we just don't do anything about it.

Don't bother with what he's done. Think about what he's doing.

    Show some backbone.

  2. FIFA power brokers rallying to protect Gianni Infantino despite his leadership becoming completely radioactive is a masterclass in shameless self-preservation. Apparently, inventing a bogus "Peace Prize" for a political figure, standing by while discriminatory policies bar dark-skinned players and officials from entering the country, overturning a clear red card just because Trump called in a personal favor to give the US an unprecedented advantage, and attempting to sell off stakes in the World Cup itself to the Kushner and Trump family orbit isn't enough to break their loyalty.

Watching football's governing body treat the world's most popular sport like a private clearance rack for political influence and personal enrichment proves just how deeply entrenched the rot is. If FIFA power brokers don't clean house and dump Infantino immediately, they risk alienating fans worldwide and destroying whatever credibility the global game has left.⚽️🇺🇸

  3. Infantino trying to sell World football to Trump, the Olympic committee trying to readmit Russia, has no one in world sports politics have a moral compass anymore ?

Or is corruption the currency of World Sport ?

  4. The fact is whomever becomes FIFA President, story will be the same. The governance setup in FIFA needs to change. Anyways like i enjoyed Blatter getting thrown out, I will enjoy Infantinno thrown out ten fold. But problems will remain. The rulers of the game need to work for the fans in an ideal world. Sadly its not. So lets throw this oligarch out and get another and enjoy temporarily.

  5. I am 99.9% sure it was Infantino that sold this idea to the Kushners for them to support/finance. The FIFA peace prize before the world cup and the forgiveness of the Balogun red card were basically sweeteners Infantino gave away for that continued support. He should resign ASAP
