We need to rebuild deep, wild forest, but now they also need to be on life-support. We should build tall towers at intervals, extending above the canopy, and add solar PV arrays for partial shade and to power cooling and humidification, and irrigation for the forest. In worst conditions the forests may consume electricity, but in reasonable less-fire-risk conditions they can export it. It will be our first human-helping cyborg.
