There is a study from 2020, that shows that Cyclospora Cayetanensis, between 1995 and 2019, outbreaks are mostly happening in the US, followed by Canada and most involve produce imports from Mexico, Guatemala or South America in general, but there are also many cases where the source is undetermined. In Europe, only two cases in the same period of time. To me, it sounds like poor regulation. I know that many people criticize the EU's regulation and red tape, but they surely work when it comes to keep its citizens healthy and safe. But if you want to get treated like expendable cattle, go ahead Murica!
