There are canine brothels in Belgium (where such a thing is legal) and mass canine killings in Romania. These horrible acts remind me of some time I spent as a youth close to a canine shelter. The incineration of canine remains would waft through the outdoor air. It is the death smell that one cannot forget. I am appreciative that DW News is focusing on such a controversial and under reported story.
