    If they stay united, Labour doesn’t have to call an election until August 2029. And unless they want a try at the Conservatives’ failed revolving leadership strategy, they should bide their time.

    Many things are going to change before the next election, most importantly, one way or the other Trump will be gone. If worst comes to worst, they can change leaders six months to a year out from the next election,

    And it should not fall upon a foreigner like me to point out that this is not the first time Farage’s party has scored a great victory in local elections but going into this last one, they had almost no local governments.
