Iran Reviews US Proposal to End War Amid Unresolved Key Demands

Date:

Iran is currently reviewing a United States-led proposal aimed at brokering a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. Following high-level discussions in Beirut, Iranian officials have indicated a willingness to support a resolution that respects Lebanese sovereignty and aligns with established United Nations frameworks. Despite the diplomatic push, several key demands from both sides remain unresolved, particularly concerning the enforcement mechanisms of the agreement. International mediators continue to work through these complexities to prevent further regional escalation while addressing the security concerns and territorial integrity of the parties involved.

  • The United States has submitted a draft ceasefire proposal to Lebanese authorities to mediate the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
  • Senior Iranian advisor Ali Larijani met with Lebanese leaders in Beirut to discuss the proposal and confirmed Tehran’s support for the Lebanese government’s decision-making process.
  • A central component of the negotiations involves the renewed implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
  • Significant sticking points remain regarding the interpretation of “self-defense” and the potential for foreign military oversight within Lebanese territory.
  • Israel is reportedly seeking guarantees for enforcement actions if the terms of the ceasefire are violated.
  • Lebanese officials are currently studying the proposal to ensure it does not infringe upon national sovereignty or grant unilateral military rights to external forces.

  1. Reckon, … even if The PEACE RESOLUTION is reached, this is only just temporary interim measure ..and in some near future the War Conflict in the Middle-East will resume in likely even more devastating consequences for the Global Economy. Perhaps, a good analogy .. It is like in the African Savanna, the lions and the striped Hyenas are deadly enemies ..and that has been for hundreds of thousands of years since, still no resolution….. If Human Civilization can even persist that long further.
