  1. Express trains. The time it takes to cross our tiny island using public transport is a disgrace. A 200km/h express line that runs on an Elevated viaduct parallel to our expressways can take both Singaporeans and tourists from the East (Tampines, and then Changi) to Marina Bay, then to Jurong in 15-20 minutes, not 2 hours. A proper express train will do more for tourists, Singaporeans, and our international image than any garden variety soulless initiative cooked by C-suite execs. It is also PAINFULLY cheap and fast to build using current construction methods. No endless, infernal digging.
