Germany’s economy is showing signs of stabilization following a prolonged period of stagnation, according to the head of the Munich-based Ifo Institute. Recent assessments of business sentiment indicate that the downward trend across key sectors has slowed, with companies expressing slightly more confidence regarding future prospects. While declining inflation is expected to help support domestic demand, persistent challenges in manufacturing, high energy costs, and structural headwinds continue to limit the pace of overall economic recovery.

Do you realize when you fall out of a high rise building and hit the ground, you could say that you have stabilized…
> destroy your atomic energy infrastructure without any sustainable alternative yet
> become dependant in cheap gas from Russia
> Refuse to invest into electrical mobility
> absolutely drive your economy down a cliff
what did they mean by that?

Do not jinx it. Repeat: do not jinx it.
By comparison, the State of Texas gained 900 billion dollars of GDP over the past 5 years.
His claim and call for reforms to “unlock growth” is just the standard neoliberal playbook, cut “bureaucracy,” lower energy costs for industry often at the expense of climate and social protections btw, increase labor-market “flexibility,” and boost private investment. In other words, it’s a package of measures designed to raise the rate of exploitation, weaken organized labor, and restore profitability for German monopoly capital.
If the economy in a country like Germany stabilizes, we must immediately ask ourselves at whose expense this is happening. Western countries no longer have a monopoly on technology, as they did 30–40 years ago. And countries like China are no longer just suppliers of cheap labor. These narrow-minded people living in the West need to finally understand this.
Germany, compared to the US, has a robus core of manufacturing, especially in the SME space, which, when paired with a slowing global trade economy and potentially tarrif driven protection of critical industries from the EU, could prove to be the life boat against Chinese economic pressure. I know this because I consult such companies, and many of them are stable even though car manufacturers and their supply chain companies are struggling.
It's because of legal immigration. Indians, Africans and other immigrants make blocked accounts of around 12K€ to study in Germany or to search for a job in Germany. Rise is very temporary fluctuation. Most of them will send all this money back home as a remittances. So it's not economic growth more money will be leaving country than it's entering the economy 😂😂So for now millions of euros are just staying in German bank on auslander accounts. So take their money and kick them out once afd comes into power
sehr gut
DW and the world love to bash Germany and the EU. Don’t worry
Honestly, I don't think there is any future for Germany. The country does not have any raw materials and was simply importing materials from other countries and making products using cheap russian gas, exporting them abroad. No more cheap Russian gas, and with no raw materials, this model is going to break sooner or later. The country would become redundant, with large legacy museums created from old manufacturing plants in the future.
It's because I moved in as skilled worker, you're welcome guys. Gib settlement permit pls.
