  1. Rather than adopt an emotional off-kilter response in the current situation (an election in full-on war), may I suggest you use your war savvy and outstanding drone approach experience, knowledge and skills and come join Canada and further expand the knowledge, the production and the use of drones in warfare. This is the new type of war fare and you saw it coming. We have approximately 1.4 million ukranians willing to join you in the production – refinement and furtherance of this new type of war – using pot shots and grumbling at the current governance that I assume you supported in the past (the Ukranian constitution) – GET AHEAD OF THE CURVE and help Canada. An ol'Indian in Montréal.

  2. The UK postponed its scheduled 1940 general elections due to World War II, maintaining a wartime coalition government. A general election was only held in 1945, once military victory was secured and governance could return to democratic norms. So there were no elections for 10 years.

  3. Let’s have an election in the middle of a war. How many Ukrainians are displaced, in occupied territories, or fighting on the frontlines?
    What a bitter/selfish individual.

  4. This guy had everyone behind him, right up until he decided to cozy up to Elon Musk, the wanna be far-right kingmaker. We all know the kind of people Musk throws his money and influence behind and that says a lot about what Fedorov might be like when the cameras aren't on.

  5. I can't believe there are Ukrainians who are turning against President Zelenskyy for this firing… THEEEEEE PRESIDENT ZELENSKYY who if it weren't for his ability to command GLOBAL attention….? I won't even finish the sentence. OMG 😠 🫩

  6. He's done well incorporating drones into the Ukrainian warfare tactics, but an election now for Ukraine helps no one in Ukraine except Fedorov himself. His popularity now is at a sky high and a large part of the Ukrainian people know about him, his work and the reasons for his sacking. Those who do not agree with the old style of warfare will invariably side with him and likely cast a vote for him if he runs. So yes, he is looking out for only his self-interests.

I have to say though, that Zelensky did not handle the confrontation between Fedorov and his head of armed forces well. Instead of outright sacking one, he should have tried to talk to them separately and persuade each to compromise and come together for the greater benefit of Ukraine. Afterall, drones cannot invade or hold territory but the old ways of throwing soldiers into the frontlines also will not work for Ukraine. The head of Ukraine's armed forces and Fedorov were both right and wrong in their views and assessment of the way forward for Ukraine in the war.
