Regardless of the casualties or how popular the war is. We never leave a US service member behind. Regardless if they are dead or alive. I only say that cause you started of this program making it sound like we rescued him only for good optics. However we rescued him cause that’s what we do. The Air Force core values even state that.
There is no way he survived that impact and was able to climb up a mountain to hide out. This story is laughable.

Hegseth was being dramatic. Before this, it was always what the United States was doing to Iran. He of all people should have known that the adversary adversary has a voice in how wars are fought.
God has blessed our US military members for hundreds of years. ESPECIALLY once we had planes and jets, helicopters that are flown. Ask any military member alive today, God’s miracles during war, deployed for secret missions, even training on and off our U.S. bases and Army Posts. That is why it is a tragedy when we hear of training missions where our service members die in flash flooding, helicopter, jet crashes. But they are willing and PROUD to serve to protect our COUNTRY on US soil and around the world. The intense training they all go through is mind blowing across every military branch. My own spouse served 25 years. Enlisted for 3 in US Army Infantry, then offered an ROTC scholarship. Retired as an LTC with all his college degrees paid for. Bachelor’s and 2 Master’s Degrees, all while we raised two kids ( they are now both adults); moved 18 times in 25 years. Including 3 years stationed overseas. We all sacrifice living thousands of miles away from OUR own families and friends. Birthday celebrations get missed, marriage anniversaries etc; but we are willing to do it for ALL AMERICANS.

That's not germane to the discussion, but they just have to get their partisan digs in. I wish we'd get back to the days of havng professional, objective journalists instead of these partisan hacks.
