US Supreme Court Rejects Challenge to Birthright Citizenship

Date:

The United States Supreme Court has declined to hear a challenge aimed at ending birthright citizenship, representing a setback for policy proposals championed by former President Donald Trump. Under the Citizenship Clause of the 14th Amendment, individuals born on U.S. soil are automatically granted citizenship. The Court’s decision to reject the case leaves this long-standing constitutional principle intact, maintaining the current legal framework that grants citizenship to children born in the country regardless of their parents’ immigration status.

  • The U.S. Supreme Court declined to review a legal challenge seeking to end automatic birthright citizenship.
  • The decision upholds the traditional interpretation of the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
  • The ruling represents a policy setback for Donald Trump, who has consistently advocated for ending birthright citizenship.
  • With the challenge rejected, children born in the U.S. to undocumented parents will continue to receive automatic citizenship.

  1. Why does america openly make jokes about raping babies and murdering children in TV shows such as Family Guy? It's no coincidence that Family Guy was broadcast on the BBC for many years.

  2. I have a sister who was born in Hong Kong while my father was doing some national service. She is NOT Chinese. When we were young I and my other sister always said she was Chinese but were told by our parents that it was dependent on where the parents came from, not on the piece of land they were on when the baby emerged. The U.S. Supreme Court cannot reason at a higher level than we were able to when we were small children. Oh dear…

  3. 🇬🇧 CONVENT AND ST PATRICK BURIAL SITE BURN DOWN IN DOWNPATRICK, MEDIA SAYS NOTHING

Yesterday the convent and the burial place of Saint Patrick himself in Downpatrick was reduced to ashes.

Locals say it was arson. The resting place of the patron saint of Ireland set on fire, and the legacy media has nothing to say. The politicians have nothing to say.

A Catholic site tied to one of the most important figures in the history of these islands burns, and you get silence.

    That silence tells you everything.❓️

  4. Trump is doing you the US citizens a favor and you unable to see now. No other Nation does this except the US and many have taken it for granted turning your once beautiful and respected country into a ghetto and you are very happy about it. Continue!

  5. The court has decided that America now has a world health service, since any woman from any country can turn up in the USA,have her baby at taxpayers expense, and create an anchor baby. The constitution was written at a time when this wasn’t possible, but the invention of aircraft has made it so. I lived in London and NHS used to refer to the early morning flight into Heathrow as the Lagos Express. There were often heavily pregnant women coming here to have their babies for free on the NHS,rather than paying in their own country.

  6. It is foolish to allow anyone to walk into your country illegally for 2 minutes, give birth to a child and the child becomes a citizen. No other country that I can think of allows that.

  7. “There is no more dangerous menace to civilization than a government of incompetent, corrupt, or vile men. The worst evils which mankind ever had to endure were inflicted by bad governments.”

    Ludwig von Mises

  8. To end birthright citizenship, the US President needs to amend the US Constitution!! For that to happen, the President needs the support from 2/3 of Congress!! So Trump can keep on dreaming about getting rid of birthright citizenship!!! Never gonna happen!! Just like the Nobel Peace Prize, just like Emmy Awards and so much more!! Never gonna happen!! What is gonna happen though, is Trump's impeachment #3 in November!! Something to look forward to!! 😂😂😂

  9. The Supreme Court is doing a great job, imo. You can't win them all, I personally disagree with the decision, but it's the Supreme Court, not gonna argue with them. The fact that President Trump isn't winning them all, is a sign the system is still working.

  10. I don't think the reporter has got this quite right. Kavsnaugh's partial dissent might lay the hroundwork for the end of birthright citizenship in just the way Trump is since suggesting, in yhe not yoo distant future. US legal experts are far more measired in the extent to which they describe this as a n unambiguous win, but the reporter seems oblivious to this.
Most experts are also quite shocked that it wasnt 9 – 0 or 8 – 1.
