I remember almost every year after final year exams in secondary school, my bro and I will go down to the Centerpoint model store to buy some. That were the times before the internet took over and it was really memorable!!!!
I still remember buying model kits from this shop. The bespectacled lady, Ms Jennifer was manning the shop. Till today I still kept a few Airfix model kits unassembled in their original condition. Junkers Stuka Ju-87 is my favourite model kit.
This needs to still be kept running, this is a national treasure.
I keep buying models from here especially in Sg and Im even building one now
We used to bring our boys down to Adelphi where there was a hobby bounty shop at B1. The boys will be playing Scaletric on a small track there and tricking us parents into 'i pay you back later at home' but never did…still the boys own a few but now in battered but running form. I used to operate my Maerklin ho guage setup set in a room and enjoy the doing the landscape and re doing up the layout once in awhile. Alas…that was then so good to watch Peter at katong shopping centre carrying on with the airfix models too. Thanks fornthe upload.
More power to him. Occasionally I build models. And nobody knows what kind of a industry this is, unless you've built something 😂❤
