  1. As a Filipino who lived through it, I find the claims made by this 'Southeast Asia expert' to be completely out of touch. Calling the campaign 'sadistic' ignores the reality on the ground: for many of us, the streets felt significantly safer during the Duterte administration. You can’t judge the situation from afar using biased metrics; only the Filipinos who lived it can truly speak to its impact. The majority of the country supported it for a reason.

  2. Bato Dela Rosa is not a criminal he is a good Pilipino politician honest and not involved in government rampant corruption, the flood control projects scandal amounting 2 trillion pesos

  3. I think every sovereign nation would do its utmost best to protect its former president, this is clearly politically driven and the Marcos is using this opportunity to eliminate his opponents

  4. Senator Bato was already in a safe place. But his vote is crucially needed to change the leadership of the Senate.
Bato was aware the dange but he still did.

Their opposition is desperate to stop him from entering the Senate hall so he invited the NBI to create a checkpoint with the allegedly arrest warrant.

The reason of their desperation to remain in power is all about covering the government corruption.

  5. ICC has allowed itself to be used in Philippines' politics. Marcos admin is embroiled in massive corruption and handling over Dutertes' allies is part of the game to perpetuate his power

  6. Westerners like to judge non-westerners yet Asians, and other non-westerners don't judge the actions of the west. What if countries that don't allow abortion regards abortion in the west as a crime against humanity? after all unborn babies are 100% innocent victims, specially so, compared to drug traffickers

  7. This hotel room journalist should not have been invited because he has no knowledge of Duterte's war against drug traffickers in the Philippines. Which country in the world would not condone drug trafficking. The USA, Thailand, China, the Gulf States sentence drug traffickers to death , and the ICC does nothing about it.

  8. -The U.S. and the International Atomic Energy Agency should verify and publicly announce whether Israel possesses nuclear bombs.

    – The U.S. should agree to allow Iran to collect $0.50 per barrel of oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz (for 5 years) to help with post-war reconstruction.

    – The U.S. should allow Iran to produce uranium (enriched to below 20%), under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

    – A nuclear non-proliferation treaty should be signed between Israel, Iran, and other Arab countries in the Middle East (in which case Iran would not produce nuclear weapons). A nuclear-weapon-free treaty between Israel and Iran is the only way to resolve the conflict between the two countries (under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency). AMERICA'S FAIRNESS TOWARDS ALL COUNTRIES WILL BRING REPUTATION TO THE US AND PEACE TO THE MIDDLE EAST

    – The US should impose 0% tariffs on poor countries (like China), and only tax countries with a trade surplus with the US.

  9. The NBI ( National BUREAU INVESTIGATION) in the Philippines with their Director together with ex Senator Trillanes tried to arrest Senator Dela Rosa (NOTE: ICC ARREST WARRANT) not local warrant in the premises of Senate.

  10. This guy is so far off from what the Filipinos actually believe. The drug issue is still a big issue. That leads to corruption ..western legal opinions are non existent in Asia

  11. the capture and transfer of du30 did not follow legal procedure. the icc still proceeded with their show despite this, showing what kind of "justice" they like to serve. Also, this person being interviewed, where did he get his numbers? The term extra judicial killing is used too broadly, wish they checked their data before they confidently speak like this. DU30 wasn't a saint sure, but the corruption committed right now here in Ph killed more than the drug war, and is killing the opportunity of the next generation. Corruption is more heinous than any drug war.

  12. why all the vague information on who FIRED the shots and who they were firing at? Were they firing at the ceiling? Where are the PHOTOS of the bullet holes? And why are all these crazy people just standing around after the gunshots? They were as STIFF as that MANNEQUIN Any person with a BRAIN would be dashing like a rabbit out of that ROOM after that first shot going off

  13. Just so everybody knows — the Philippines has its OWN justice system that is fully functioning. We have our own Supreme Court PH and courts that should handle matters involving Filipinos and our leaders.

What happened to Former President Rodrigo Duterte is, for many Filipinos, seen as unconstitutional and a violation of our sovereignty — especially considering that the Philippines officially withdrew from the International Criminal Court – ICC under the Rome Statute. Under the Rome Statute itself, withdrawal only takes effect one year after written notice is received.

Now with Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa , people are again questioning how arrests or investigations can happen without proper due process through Philippine courts first.

    WE ARE A SOVEREIGN COUNTRY.

And if investigations are truly about justice and accountability, then maybe we should also investigate the billions lost in failed flood control projects, the mysterious luggage filled with money allegedly given to politicians and officials — because that is the people’s money.

And while we’re at it… Mr. President Bongbong Marcos maybe take that drug test too!!! Live in public eyes!!!

Filipinos are not blind. We see. We question. And we remember.
