Israeli Military Makes Deepest Advance Into Lebanon in 26 Years

Date:

Israeli ground forces have advanced deeper into southern Lebanon, marking the military’s most significant incursion into the country in 26 years. The advance, which reached several kilometers past the border, involved heavy clashes with Hezbollah fighters in strategic towns. This escalation occurs alongside ongoing international diplomatic efforts to negotiate a ceasefire, as the conflict continues to displace thousands of civilians on both sides of the border.

  • Israeli forces executed their deepest advance into Lebanese territory since 1998, reaching key strategic positions in the south.
  • The military operation targeted Hezbollah infrastructure, command centers, and rocket launching sites.
  • Heavy clashes and accompanying airstrikes were reported in several southern Lebanese villages, causing further infrastructure damage.
  • Diplomatic efforts led by international mediators remain active in an attempt to secure a ceasefire and halt the regional escalation.

    BUAHH!!! STOLZ !!!

  2. I hear some in the U.S. Congress want to "merge" the IDF with the U.S. military.
    I fear the effects this may have on those U.S. ALLIES who prefer not to aid Israel's military in everything it does.
    ~~~~~~
    To replace the 3.9B the U.S. sends to Israel as military aid on an annual basis, Mike Rogers (R-AL) and Adam Smith (D-WA) have added a section to the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act that would expand U.S. & Israel military cooperation with joint research, testing, manufacturing, and sharing technology. As well as promoting joint military training, information-sharing, network integration, and data fusion.
    Critics say that this would benefit Israel more than the $3.9 billion it currently receives, while being less transparent, allowing for less public scrutiny.
    🚩 This can interfere with using aid as leverage in ways the U.S. could now.
    🚩 This also renders the U.S. more co-liable for crimes committed by the Israeli military.
  4. Taking territory in Lebanon gives Israel a very strong hand in any future negotiaions. That's how Israel secured a peace deal with Egypt after they took over Sinai and used it as a strong card in negotiotions. Peace in return for land is a successsful strategy.
  5. Lebanon has to choose, but the fact that it allows Hezbollah to attack Israel without consequence, no one came blame Israel for responding. Keep in mind, Hezbollah attacked Israel – again, unprovoked – on Oct 8, 2023, and it was an extended period before Israel responded. It's funny: Israel's other neighbors who don't attack it don't seem to be attacked by Israel…. wonder why that could be!
  6. In 1948, Lebanon first attacked Israel without provocation joining 5 other Arab armies in rejection and violation of the UN resolution that established 2 states, Israeli and Palestinian state. In the 1956 Suez war Israel did not attack Lebanon, nor did it in 1967, and 1973 wars. Israel only defended itself because of guerilla attacks from Lebanon against it starting in the 1970s.
    by 1982 on response to incessant Palestinian guerilla attacks on Israel and the control of most of Lebanon by the PLo, Israel liberated the Lebanese from the Palestinian occupation and offered a peace treaty in exchange of full withdrawal but Lebanon rejected it. Hezbollah replaced the Palestinians in attacking Israel and rejection of any peace with the support of the Syrian Assad regime and Iran. In 2000 Israel withdrew unilaterally in application of security Council resolution 425. But Lebanon failed to apply its clause requiring the deployment of its army in the south to police the border. In 2006 Lebanon's Hezbollah started a war with Israel. Then again in 2023 in support of Gaza. Then again in 2026 in support of Iran's Khameni. Lebanon has been a serial attacker and Israel had only defended itself all long. Lebanon rejected repeatedly all offers of peace. This is the historical truth. The Lebanese and arab masses have been subjected to brainwashing and falsification of history. They live in alternate delusional reality, under dictatorial regimes and failed states that feed the hatred of an external "ennemy" to remain in power and pillage the resources.
  7. November is coming quick, Israel better grab as much land as they can before mid-terms!
    Democrats regain control and all support for Israel in the US goes out the window, that is a guarantee.
  8. Capturing Beaufort castle is a huge win for the IDF as it proves that the military isn't in a stalemate as many would like to frame it.
    US pressure, and not militant action or the use of FPV drones was responsible for the IDF pervious slow advance.
    Also its strategic placement of the castle is of great significance to the tactical situation on the ground.
  9. Evacuation orders and offensive means the bombing, desctruction of residential homes, civil infrastructure and displacement of the whole people in a foreign country. It is neither self denfence nor ceasefire nor about Hezbollah. Same playbook they did in Gaza. Ethnic cleansing, landgrab and genocide. Warcrimes and crimes against humanity. Documented.
  10. Occupying Lebanon turned out to be costly with IDF soldiers taking casualties from constant random attacks the first time they did it. So they are going to do the same thing again this is insanity and not a permanent solution.
  11. They started a war on October 8th 2023 that they couldn't handle….they joined a war in March 2026 that didn't concern them and cry the most on the media hoping for others to come safe them😂
  12. If this part of Lebanon is controlled by Hezbollah and Lebanon army does not have a chance to stop Hezbollah from shooting rockets at Israel then Israel has full right to take this land and kick Hezbollah out
  13. This is wonderful news! The sooner that the IDF is able to eliminate HEZBOLLAH, the sooner the world will be a happier and safer place without terrorist groups. God bless the forces of democracy against evil terrorists and their supporters.
  14. Israel has the right to defend itself. That region of Lebanon is unfortunately controlled by terrorists, who have their own state organized within Lebanon. Israel lost patience after 7/10/2023 and decided to clean the region instead of mowing the lawn eventually. It will be tough, since there are fpv drones and plenty of hate on both sides.
