There are two misunderstandings here. First, the US can't ask Iran for a ceasefire. They should ask Israel, the country that started the war against all its neighbours, including Iran. Second, Trump has no power on these matters. Netanyahu decides, Trump executes. I don't think he has the right to even ask questions. And I'm pretty sure he doesn't know where Iran is. Don't forget he's the one who said that Europe is in the same emisphere as Iran, Ukraine is as big as Texas, Belgium is a beautiful city (while he was there!), the US sent ships to Greenland before the Vikings, etc. He knows that some places exist out of the US, but that's pretty much all he knows about geography and foreign affairs.
